Measuring for drawer slides

Record drawer and cabinet dimensions before requesting the appropriate slide.

Measure the cabinet and drawer

Measure the usable cabinet depth and the drawer length, width and height. Note obstructions, the front arrangement and whether you are replacing an existing slide.

Identify the mounting system

Determine whether the slide mounts on the drawer sides or underneath. Check the required clearance and fixing positions in the documentation for the selected system.

Specify the required movement

State the required extension, closing features and expected contents of the drawer. Include the existing model reference when available, and confirm the selected system’s load guidance.
